Dear All,
Please see below email from Stuart Wilson on behalf of KBEG. I haven’t managed to successfully pass on the KBEG supporters email database so I am sending this on his behalf. Please feel welcome to contact him directly on the email address copied in. Hoping everyone is well and hope to see you at the virtual meeting talked about below. Best wishes, Penny
Dear KBEG Friends,
Everyone in the KBEG team hopes that you are keeping safe and well.
We have some important updates for you regarding:
1) Our legal case against the proposed development of 467 dwellings on Hollands Farm
2) Online KBEG Community Update on June 10th at 7.30pm
We have been very busy working remotely with our Barrister and Legal team to prepare for the Substantive Hearing in the High Court which has now been set for June 23rd and 24th.
During the last week, we have prepared a detailed Reply to the Statement of Grounds made by the Defendants (Wycombe, now Buckinghamshire Council and the Secretary of State for Housing, Local Communities and Government) and Interested Parties (the promoters, Catesby Estates and L Noé).
The KBEG team was also busy over the Bank Holiday weekend preparing an electronic version of the document bundles (over 3,700 pages) which has now been sent to the Court, Defendants and Interested Parties.
Over the next few weeks, we have more documentation, such as Skeleton Arguments and other materials, to submit to the Court and all parties.
Please contact me directly if you would like to know more about these documents.
We are also aware that our Keep Bourne End Green fight, on behalf of our community, has been going for almost four years exactly. During that time more people have moved into the area who may be less familiar with all the details and our battle has moved into the courts from the council chamber and community centre. As we head towards the Substantive Hearing, now is a good time to bring everyone who is interested up to speed on the situation, expectations and next steps. We also owe it to everyone to provide an update on fundraising and how we have used those funds to continue the fight.
We are therefore proposing to host an online KBEG Community Update meeting on June 10th at 7.30pm via the Zoom platform. This allows us to host a video and telephone conference call with everyone who has access to a computer, tablet, mobile or landline telephone. For those on a computer, tablet or smartphone, we will be able to share a small presentation.
Many of you have become familiar with Zoom during lockdown. If anyone needs assistance with this, please contact Stuart Wilson before 6.00pm on June 10th on 07789 615646 or stuartpwilson@btinternet.com.
The online meeting details are shown below for June 10th, starting at 7.30pm. The meeting room will be open from 7.00pm. Please be patient while we admit you to the meeting room.
