Over the years your Committee has established positive relationships with the main Utility companies which service the estate. They all have a legal right to come onto Chalklands to install and repair pipes, drains, cables etc BUT prior to doing any planned work they are required to contact affected property owners and also the CRA Committee to obtain permission.
Notable successes have been the installation of Swish without destroying new pavements, the repair to a water leak at pond corner, the replacement of gas pipes around the whole estate.
This is vital as we want to protect your investment in the new road surfaces and pavements. Relevant Committee contact details are held by the utility companies.
Please could you therefore remind any utility contractor you see setting up work that they must have permission , and ask them to contact their manager and also the CRA Committee to verify the status of the work?
