The CRA’s Annual General Meeting will take place on:
WEDNESDAY 19th OCTOBER
at 7:30pm in the LIBRARY
We are sorry for the short notice but please do try and come along and make the turnout even better than last year’s record attendance. Chalklands is YOUR environment and this is your once-a-year opportunity to discuss, as a group, how we look after it. The AGM also provides an excellent opportunity to meet with fellow residents and with the many new neighbours who continue to move onto the estate.
This year a number of Committee members are standing down and we would like to recruit 2 or 3 new members. Committee meetings are very informal and membership does not involve a great deal more than attending 4 or 5 meetings a year so please give this some thought. All you have to do is volunteer on the night, or contact our Chairman, Bill Leftwich to find out more.
This year our AGM agenda includes:
Chairman’s report, including a description of CRA activities over the last year
Financial statement and presentation of accounts
Plans and ideas for 2016/17
We will also be bringing you fully up to date with recently made arrangements for resurfacing the next section of road (see below and overleaf), so if you want to know more come along to the AGM!
As always, the second part of the meeting will be an open forum to give residents the opportunity to question the Committee and put forward their own observations, ideas and suggestions.
If you are unable to be with us on the 19th but have concerns, views or points that you wish to be considered then please speak to a committee member or email your ideas to the CRA Contact Point:
Thank you for your support throughout the last year. We look forward to seeing you on the night.
