Stopping Change With Loose Change – Volunteers Needed

Keep Bourne End Green are continually fundraising and our current fundraising total is over £36,000

At the upcoming General election on the 8th June we aim to have a presence at each of the local Polling booths from opening till close (7am-10pm). This is going to be a great opportunity to be in a position where so many of our community will be passing. We will have our collection buckets and if every electorate within Bourne End and the Wooburns saved some loose change and turned up on the 8th June with just £10 each, then with a 60% turnout for voting, we would make approximately £50,000 in that one day.

We need help and volunteers on that day to receive the donations and be on hand to talk to anyone coming by (full campaign update will be given to you in advance).

If you can help, spare a couple of hours, then please email me to let me know.

Other dates to note below:

  • 22nd May, 7.30pm in the small hall at the Community Centre. The KBEG team will be there        and we are inviting representatives from all residents associations, local Parish councils, FOOV or other local organisations so we can all work on this together. If any of the above apply to you, then please attend if you can. If anyone else would like to become more actively involved, then please join us also.
  • 6th June, 7.30pm in the Garibaldi pub. A chance to meet with any volunteers who have offered to help on the General Election day to debrief on where the campaign is at and how they can help spread the word whilst bucket holding on the 8th.
  • 8th June, General Election day. A presence at local polling stations.
  • 10th June, Family Garden Party Fundraiser.

  • 24th June, Hedsor Fair. A share of the funds will go to KBEG

Thank you as always for your time and support. Together we can do this!
