Where not to Park

  • Parking on corners – dangerously obstructing the view of both drivers and pedestrians
  • Parking on the pavement – this not only causes damage to property but sometimes forces pedestrians, pram pushers and mobility scooters into the road. The dangers are obvious and are of special concern in these dark evenings.
  • Parking on the corner by the alley – this is dangerous even with the increased road width, but it also forces large vehicles (eg the bin lorries) to scrape or even mount the newly raised kerb. The rebuilt kerb and pavement are strong but we do not want the risk of damage. We will be placing some signs and painting double yellow lines to deter parking at this spot.

These parking issues were raised by fellow residents and they affect us all so please take them into account when parking your own car and please advise your visitors to do the same.
